Cute Is What We Aim For appear to be broken up.

The alternative punk Fueled By Ramen band from Buffalo, N.Y., Cute Is What We Aim For formed in 2005. The band released their sophmore album The Same Old Blood Rush With A New Touch a year later. The same year, bassist Fred Cimato quit the band, only to have his replacement quit not long after. Cimato then rejoined the band, but quit again in 2008 and was replaced by bassist Dave Melillo. Last year, drummer Tom Falcone quit not long after their album Rotation was released.
On August 18th, 2009, singer Shaant Hacikyan tweeted 'I'm going solo.Thank you for every inkling of support'. The same day, bassist Dave Melillo confirmed that both he and guitarist Jeff Czum had left the band as well.
In a recent interview with Alternative Press, bassist Dave Melillo insisted that the split was due to Hacikyan's attitude.
"At the beginning of August I let Shaant know I was leaving the band..." he told the magazine. "At the beginning of July, Mikey, Jeff, some family and friends and I sat down with Shaant. We told him things needed to change as far as attitude and demeanor goes.
"I want to make it known that I shut him out of my life after that. He needed to be on his own if he was going to do anything positive for himself. There was not a visible change in his attitude or work ethic when I got back to Buffalo, so I decided to live my own life."
Cute Is What We Aim For has ended their four-year career as a band.
On a side note, the single 'Time' is still set to be released on the soundtrack for the upcoming blockbuster Jennifer's Body.
