Poison.
"Don't do it again, please," she pleaded helplessly to the dark room, a silent tear rolling down her flushed cheek.
"She'll get suspicious if I'm not back soon," a tired male voice replied from somewhere on the other side of the bed in the dark. She heard him turn her bedside lamp on and the room flooded with light. He was handsome, she could never deny it. It was one of the many reasons she let herself become so broken every time she was with him.
"She doesn't deserve you."
"She doesn't deserve what I'm doing to her either." He sat up, running a hand through his dishevelled dark brown hair.
She was too familiar to the heart-wrenching, breaking and empty feelings that had become their routine. But that didn't mean that she had ever stopped him, that she had ever wanted to stop him. She flipped the covers from her body, stood up, crossed the room to the connected bathroom and locked herself inside. She slid down the wall, trying to keep the tears that began flowing rapidly as quiet as she could.
After a few moments, he sighed and stood up, slipping on a pair of jeans that he had discarded earlier that day. He walked over to the bathroom and knocked softly on the door. He hated hurting her, it killed him every time. But he had convinced himself that she was worth so much more than he could ever give. He hadn't told her that, of course. He was just too selfish to stay away.
"Sienna, open the door, please." He waited a moment for the click of the lock. No reply. He knocked again, this time Sienna opened the door slowly. Even when her dark hair was a mess, and her deep blue eyes were puffy and red, she was overwhelmingly beautiful to him. She always had been. "I'm sorry."
She put on the best fake smile she could muster, but Alex had always been able to see through all of her facades. "Alex, don't. It's fine, really. You know me; I overreact before I think and get my hopes up. I understand how much she means to you and that what you and I have is just a helpful, convenient friendship. Nothing more."
"Sienna, I..."
"If you hurry, you'll be able to welcome her home." Alex nodded solemnly as Sienna shut the bathroom door again, taking her routine shower. He gathered up the remainder of his clothing and dressed. Knowing it was just best not to be there when Sieena came out of the bathroom, so he grabbed his keys, phone and wallet from her nightstand and left her apartment, shutting the door behind him.
Sienna sighed and leant against the shower wall. She never did understand why she couldn't stay away, why she couldn't just say 'no' whenever he called. Maybe it was the history they shared. She never was the best at letting go of her past. She still held a grudge against one of her cousins for beheading her favourite doll when they were four.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the ringing of a phone in the next room. She quickly turned the taps off, wrapped a towel around her body and ran into the bedroom to answer the phone.
"Hey Si. You wouldn't be able to do me a massive favor, that I will of course return, and cover Ben's shift tonight, would you?" Sienna could clearly hear the desperation in Mel's voice. Sienna worked the bar at a local up-and-coming nightclub downtown, and Mel was Sienna's boss and self anointed 'life guru'. Mel was also the first decent person that Sienna had met when she moved to Baltimore.
"Sure. I'll be there at seven to set up."
"You are a fallen angel. See you when you get here."
"See you then." Sienna ended the call and placed in its cradle on her nightstand. She took note of the flashing digits on her alarm clock and sat beside the phone; 4:53. She could fit a much needed power nap in before she had to be at the club, and pick up her 'bartender survival kit' on the way.
"Sienna Braxton, you are my hero!" Sienna turned to see Melissa Feldman rush down the spiral staircase that lead to the VIP area, a stunning smile across her porcelain face. Sienna shrugged with a smile and continued to stock up the bottles and glasses in her area of the bar. Mel sat at the bar in front of Sienna and began flipping through the pile of paper attatched to the clipboard she'd been carrying.
"I do what I can." Sienna went over her stock lists for the bar on her own clipboard and studied her station, running a hand through her long wavy brown hair. "My areas as stocked as I can get it." A glance at the clock on the wall behind the bar told her that she still had half an hour before the doors opened. "I'll be out the back if you need me." Mel simply nodded, not removing her eyes from the paperwork she was filling out.
Sienna walked out the back foor to the staff lounge, grabbing the sandwich and one of the energy drinks she'd stuck in the fridge of the kitchenette when she'd arrived, before relaxing on the two seater couch. She picked at the food and sipped her drink for the most of the time, not being able to remove her mind from the events that had taken place that afternoon in her Baltimore apartment now that she had time for thought to flow freely.
As much as Sienna hated it, Alex Gaskarth intoxicated her. She fought the temptation to the best of her abilities, but the boy was alluring. A simple crooked smile and she forgot her own name. A tender touch and the foundations of her morals crumbled around her. Alex was her weakness, and they were yet to create an anti-Alex patch.
"Sienna, doors open in five," Jeff, an honor student who was bartending his way through law school who preferred the gentlemen over the ladies, told Sienna with a smile. She nodded back and looked down at her barely touched food. She re-wrapped the sandwich she'd bought from a local deli on her way to work, stuck it back inside the fridge and downed the rest of the drink before heading back to the club.
"Thanks, Jeff," Sienna told the younger male when she was back behind the bar.
"No problem." Jeff put an arm around Sienna's shoulders and rested his head on top of hers. "You seem pretty out of it though. Anything on your mind, sweetheart?"
"No more than usual. You all set up? It's gonna be a crazy night."
"Well, if I'm not, we're fucked. Aren't we? We're lined up around the block already." Just as he finished saying it, people started to pour inside the club. It was going to be a very busy night.
Sienna yawned as she unlocked the front door to her city apartment at five a.m. The short brunette had just finished a nine hour shift bartending for average wage plus tips, as she did five nights a week. She stumbled around in the dark, not wanting to bother with lights, kicking her shoes off in the hallway, dropping her purse on the kitchen bench on the way down the hall to her bedroom. Once in her room, Sienna used the light from the streetlamps peering through her curtains to navigate around the furniture as she stripped down to her underwear, too tired to care about pyjamas.
She sat down on the bed and looked over at where Alex had been hours before. Running a hand along the cold mattress where he had lain, she rolled over to his side of the bed and curled up againt his pillow. She closed her eyes and breathed in the scent that lingered behind. Memories of him flooded her mind of when they were kids playing on a swing set; laughing, joking, innocent. The use to be best friends, and now, she didn't know what she was to him except for a quick fix. Mid-memory, Sienna fell into a restless sleep as the sun came up, dreaming of what once was, what could've been but never would be.
So, I've been writing this. And decided to post it here for all the amazing people of Buzznet to read. Its an Alex Gaskarth fanfic in the works... possibly. I want to know that judging by this first chapter, would you guys read it if I turned it into a story or should I leave it as a one-shot? Lemme know please. I'm writing the second part anyways, just in case.
Anyways, I have to go to work right now. Hope to have some feedback when I get back! (:

MTV Video Music Awards.
I will make this short and sweet (gotta head to bed). Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees. I'll just mention now that that congratulations does not extend to one Mr. Kanye West. How dare he? Shame on you Kanye, you're a disgrace to the industry.
Kinda dissapointed to see that Cobra Starship didn't win the Best Pop Video award. Just a reason to spam the polls next year.
This years show was amazing and the performances were incredible. I was suprised in a very good way to see 3OH!3 and the All-American Rejects perform. Also, wow. I was absolutely stunned by Janet Jackson's tribute performance to the late and still great King of Pop, Michael Jackson. It literally brought tears to my eyes, as did the speech Madonna gave at the beginning of the show.
I'm considering starting a petition to force Russell Brand to host again next year, he did an awesome job.
Oh, and go and watch the Red Carpet interviews by Cassadee Pope of Hey Monday if you haven't already. She did a great job.
What did you guys think? Ashamed of Kanye and excited for New Moon/Michael Jackson: This Is It?
Anyways, I'm falling asleep on the laptop.
I'll update soon. Goodnight Buzznet!

My thoughts on Short Stack (aka, bands who sell out).

Short Stack; a pop punk band from Newcastle, Australia, formed in 2005. Bassist Andy Clemmensen, drummer Bradie Webb and frontman Shaun Diviney met at Hunter School of Performing Arts (Broadmeadow, Newcastle) and came together to enter Youthrock the same year. They were voted Channel V's Oz Artist of The Year in 2008 and on August 14th 2009 released their debut album Stack Is The New Black.
I've met these guys. They come from where I live, I have a pair of black lowtop converse shoes signed by them, I've seen them live a fair few times at small local gigs (The Loft, The TPI House, etc.), I've sung their lyrics a foot away from them and danced to their music, I appear in a very early episode of Short Stack TV, I hung out with Shaun post-My Chemical Romance in 2007 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. So when I say I know what I'm talking about, I actually know. All I can say about them is that they're a bunch of massive idiots. Shaun loves himself too much to notice anyone else, Andy is your typical arrogant jerk and Bradie couldn't care less about his fans.
I know that it must seem like I'm being harsh. And in a way, I probably am. But I just hate seeing people selling out and changing the moment they have a few hundred people singing their lyrics. I hope as much as anyone its a phase, but since Short Stack got big, they've ignored every fan that helped them get where they are. Let's hope that every musician who becomes like this, realises it and changes their morals before karma kicks them in the rear.
I will admit this though; they have some good music, some of their lyrics are catchy enough to have you singing them for a long while and I suggest people go listen to them because you might like their music too. The link at the bottom of the page leads you to the music video for Sway Sway Baby. Go check it out.
Cute Is What We Aim For appear to be broken up.

The alternative punk Fueled By Ramen band from Buffalo, N.Y., Cute Is What We Aim For formed in 2005. The band released their sophmore album The Same Old Blood Rush With A New Touch a year later. The same year, bassist Fred Cimato quit the band, only to have his replacement quit not long after. Cimato then rejoined the band, but quit again in 2008 and was replaced by bassist Dave Melillo. Last year, drummer Tom Falcone quit not long after their album Rotation was released.
On August 18th, 2009, singer Shaant Hacikyan tweeted 'I'm going solo.Thank you for every inkling of support'. The same day, bassist Dave Melillo confirmed that both he and guitarist Jeff Czum had left the band as well.
In a recent interview with Alternative Press, bassist Dave Melillo insisted that the split was due to Hacikyan's attitude.
"At the beginning of August I let Shaant know I was leaving the band..." he told the magazine. "At the beginning of July, Mikey, Jeff, some family and friends and I sat down with Shaant. We told him things needed to change as far as attitude and demeanor goes.
"I want to make it known that I shut him out of my life after that. He needed to be on his own if he was going to do anything positive for himself. There was not a visible change in his attitude or work ethic when I got back to Buffalo, so I decided to live my own life."
Cute Is What We Aim For has ended their four-year career as a band.
On a side note, the single 'Time' is still set to be released on the soundtrack for the upcoming blockbuster Jennifer's Body.
The band have been through many members in their time together. Who were your favourite members, what is your opinion on this turn of events and what is your favourite CIWWAF song?

The reason for this post is that I just found out the first lineup for 2010 thanks to a friend of mine, Josh (thankyou Kjosh!). Apparently, I'll be seeing My Chemical Romance for the second time on the 20th and then seeing them again at Soundwave the next day. I'm gonna be sore on Monday!
So far, the line up consists of (obviously, the band names in bold are the bands I'll be seeing);

Pete Wentz is the only reason The Millionaires are famous.
Pete Wentz, this makes you more of a douchebag than people who club baby seals.
I finally decided to give their music a chance, so I decided to YouTube their music video 'Alcohol'... my reaction you ask? Weeelllllll, my ears are bleeding, I think I vomited in my mouth, my IQ just dropped a few dozen points and my respect for Wentz just plumetted (rock bottom).
BRACE YOURSELF PEOPLE! Here's some shocking news... they have no talent. Shocked? Go listen to their music.
Pete, stick to being a good parent, and hire someone else to sign bands. It appears you've lost your touch. I hope it was just a momentary lapse of judgement, and if so, correct this mistake and wipe them off the map!
Now, I hope people don't get the wrong idea of me. I'm not a very mean person usually. But I am critical about artists that believe their good role models for young girls, especially when their lyrics are encouraging girls to spread their legs, drink underage, be fake, show off as much skin as they legally can and have one night stands. And thats only the tip of the iceberg.
They give music a bad name, Warped Tour a bad rep, teens bad advice, they dress badly and I hope they spotaneously combust. Wannabes.
Also, their 'voices' sound like cats being pushed into a bansaw.
Please just give up. You're not ahead, but you're an the pinicle of what you consider fame, and thats because people hate you.
Everyone, say hello to Kim Jong, the female lookalike of Trace Cyrus and the old woman from Drag Me To Hell. XD

Sup Buzznet!
How is everyone? How was everybody's weekends?
Most amazing weekend ever, and I'm suffering through the consequences of it. AKA, a two-day-long hangover (Y). Yippee! But I did see Drag Me To Hell. By the way, Drag Me To Hell would be a great name for a hardcore band like Bring Me The Horizon. Man, that movie was one laugh-out-loud 'gore' movie... if you count that as gore. Which I don't. But it was still pretty good, even though that was probably because of the people I saw it with.
Also, if anyone knows why guys are honest and affectionate one-second and completely closed off the next, I would really appreciate your insight. I'm getting whiplash so bad that my head is almost literally going to spin off my shoulders in insanity.
So yeah, working on a pretty rad fanfiction. Even with how much I work, I should have it out soon. I'm doing a bit each day, so fingers crossed.
I'll update again soon, but right now, I think I need to go to bed. 6am wake up call and its midnight.
Goodnight fellow Buzznet-ers,

First Buzznet Journal.
Was'sup Buzznet?
Before I start this 'hi, I'm new to Buzznet, how to you work this site? XD' journal, I'd just like to mention I'm not new to Buzznet. My old account is actually about six years old, but I'm in the process of deleting it, so you probably shouldn't ask for it. Haha.
A little bit you should probably know about me... my name is Kiara. I'm seventeen, sarcastic, live in Australia, do not have a Kangaroo or a Koala in my backyard, work at KFC, been to a few concerts and my musical prefrences always change. I'm always looking for new music, so send me some names to check out. I'm told I'm pretty easy to get along with. Send me a comment / add me on myspace (its in my profile).
Did you know the Wiggles use to be an Australian band called the Cockaroaches? Its why they wear long sleeve shirts. Apparnel
There's a list of bands I've seen on my main page. You should check it out, tell me who you've seen. I'm always up for reminiscing over concert memories.
My favourite bands are All Time Low, Forever The Sickest Kids, The Maine, The Academy Is..., Cobra Starship, The All-American Rejects, Hey Monday, The Audition, Parkway Drive (SEEING THEM NEXT MONTH, AGAIN! XD), Jack's Mannequin, There For Tomorrow and Taking Back Sunday.
Also, I'd give both of my legs and left arm to go to Warper Tour this year. Not even kidding.
Hit me up (Y)
